I-DLE: An anniversary and the start of the promotion

Girl group I-DLE has released the soundtrack for its special album celebrating its 7th anniversary.

MIYEON, MINNIE, SOYEON, YUQI, and SHUHUA’s special mini album “WE ARE I-DLE” was released on various music platforms on May 2 at 6 PM KST. It contains nine songs ranging from their debut album “I AM,” released on May 2, 2018, to their fourth mini album “I BURN,” released on January 11, 2021, featuring I-DLE versions.

“WE ARE I-DLE,” the title track of the special mini-album, marks the debut of “We are i-dle,” replacing “G.” From “Latata” to “Hann (Alone),” “Senorita,” “Uh-Oh,” “Oh my god,” “Lion,” “i’m the trend,” “Dumdi dumdi,” and “Hwaa,” discover I-DLE’s hits.

They also unveiled the first concept photos for their eighth mini-album. The members wore costumes and jewelry adorned with gothic sculptures, attracting attention with their elegant and somber expressions. The anticipation for the upcoming eighth mini-album was heightened by the mood of the music video “for (G),” released shortly after their split with “G.“

On May 2nd, the 7th anniversary of their debut, the members of I-DLE announced the beginning of a new chapter by changing the group’s name from (G)I-DLE to I-DLE. They particularly excited the NEVERLANDs (the name of the fandom) by announcing the group’s comeback with the release of their 8th mini-album on May 19th.
