Virtual idol group PLAVE will officially debut in Japan in June.

PLAVE released a teaser for its first Japanese single, “Kakurenbo (かくれんぼ)” on its official SNS accounts on May 1st and confirmed its release on June 16th.
The title “かくれんぼ” means “Hide and Seek.” The image attracted attention as it showed the members reflected in the camera screen while filming, with a peaceful Japanese underground street in the background. The original, retro concept heightened anticipation.
PLAVE’s first Japanese single will be available for pre-order on various music sites starting at 11:00 AM on May 8th. The official album release will take place on the 9th, with shipments scheduled for sequential release. The group will also open its official Japanese fan club on May 2nd, announcing its full-fledged activities in Japan.
The virtual boy band PLAVE, composed of five members YEJUN, NOAH, BAMBY, EUNHO, and HAMIN, has been enjoying growing popularity in Korea and Asia since its debut in March 2023 and is one of the most well-known K-pop groups in Japan and abroad. Their second mini-album, “Asterum 134-1,” released in 2024, is particularly gaining popularity and influence in Japan, ranking number one in K-POP sales at HMV&BOOKS.
PLAVE’s third mini-album, “Caligo Pt. 1,” released in February, recorded the highest 24-hour streaming of any Melon album, and is the only artist to enter the “Billions Club” and break the record for the highest 24-hour streaming.
They also show spectacular growth domestically and internationally, making them the first virtual idol group to enter Billboard’s “Global 200 Chart” as well as number 1 on various music shows.
