Singer and actress IU donated 150 million won (108,000 dollars) to children and teenagers in need on the occasion of “Korean Children’s Day,” which falls on May 5 every year.

“IU has donated 150 million won in the name of IUaena, a portmanteau name formed by IU and her Uaena fan club,” said EDAM Entertainment, IU’s agency.
This donation will be used to help children with disabilities and support orphaned teenagers who return to society once they reach adulthood.
Of this total, 62 million won will be donated to Eden I Ville, a non-profit organization that supports orphaned teenagers, and 90 million won will be donated to ChildFund Korea, which will use the money to improve the lives of children with disabilities by covering their medical expenses and providing them with gifts for Children’s Day.
