USPEER
Girl group “USPEER,” presented by WM Entertainment for the first time in 10 years, appeared in the June issue of @Style.
In the post-photoshoot interview with @Style, USPEER candidly shared its debut. The members were full of enthusiasm and determination, reunited after practice and about to perform for the first time.
“I still can’t believe it. I’m preparing hard for my debut,” said DAON. SEOYU said, “I’m really excited because the team is formed after the training period and we’re about to debut.” She added, “I’m practicing even harder because I realize there’s not much time left.” YEWON expressed her expectations for her debut: “I feel a lot of pressure to give a good performance for my fans, and I’m fighting with the members.”
The group’s name USPEER is a combination of “US” and “SPEER” and means “We will understand the nature of the world we live in together and create a better future.” A group with a strong message, like their name, they first got to know each other and connect with their fans through the reality TV show “USPEER Run Up!” even before their debut.
“I knew it was a highly regarded piece, and I received attention and support, so I feel compelled to work harder. I try to read the comments carefully and show you a better side of myself,” said SIAN. YEWON added, “Seeing the members grow in each episode gives me a lot of strength, so I’m grateful.”
She also gave hints about her debut album. “In short, it’s an energetic album,” said YEONE, while DAON added, “It’s an album that represents a true mission for USPEER to participate in the world,” adding, “It exudes a sense of speed and a sporty atmosphere.“
The members are also reinforcing their individual aspirations. “I believe I will become a true professional from the first day of my debut,” said YEWON. “I want to become a USPER capable of infusing energy into the fans and demonstrating our own cooperation.” When asked about the group’s role model, SIAN replied, “I want to follow in the footsteps of the older members who always deliver excellent performances,” referring to OH MY GIRL from the same label.
Finally, ROA added, “I’m just grateful that so many people are supporting USPEER even before our debut,” adding, “I’m going to prepare as much as I can to live up to those expectations and give you a great performance.“
