SHINee member ONEW has once again gained worldwide attention.
On May 16, ONEW released a video titled “2025 ONEW CONCERT [ONEW THE LIVE: CONNECTION]” on its official YouTube channel.
The video chronicles the behind-the-scenes footage of ONEW’s three-day solo concert at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park in February. Running for 49 minutes and 25 seconds, it highlights the significance of performances and JJINGGUs (fan names) for ONEW.
ONEW launched a new branded show titled “ONEW THE LIVE” and successfully performed in eight cities across North America, as well as Seoul, Yokohama, Taipei, and Macau.
Prioritizing live performances, ONEW dreams of making “ONEW THE LIVE” a series. The subtitle of the first performance, announcing ONEW’s new challenge, was “CONNECTION,” the same title as his fourth mini-album. ONEW explained:
“I tried to show you how I want to bring happiness to my fans, how I accept happiness, and how I want to express it. Like the meaning of the word, it contains the wish for the fans and I to connect at the heart.”
With “ONEW THE LIVE,” ONEW introduced variations to some regional setlists, blending their distinct colors with each performance. ONEW also participated in stage compositions such as LEDs and line art, and even served as a producer. To show a new side of himself, ONEW experimented with music.
Regarding this, ONEW stated, “ONEW THE LIVE is a performance under my name, but I’m not the only one who is the main character. Many people filled the concert hall and worked hard to make it happen. I also have to express everything I wanted on stage. In that sense, I think “ONEW THE LIVE” is a performance that perfectly fits all three elements.“
ONEW specifically chose the audience, or fans, as the main element of the concert. ONEW said, “Seeing the fans singing together gives me great strength. It’s incredible to see the fans unite as one voice. I hope we can hold even more fun concerts with other members of Frown, in other venues. I hope I can count on your continued support.“
Meanwhile, ONEW will release his second album in July and meet his fans nationwide.
