BLACKPINK, a girl group that has resumed official activities, will be back with a new song.
YG Entertainment Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk shared the master plans for the future activities of artists such as BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER, and TREASURE. He also announced the debut of new artists.
YG Entertainment published the article “BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, and the New Recruits | YG Announcement” on its official blog today. This is Yang Hyun Suk‘s first video interview of the year, outlining YG Entertainment‘s plan for the second half of 2025.
Manager Yang Hyun Suk, who had been present for seven months, was the first to declare, “I think we’ll be able to announce the release of BLACKPINK’s new song soon.” BLACKPINK’s last new song was from a full album titled “BORN PINK,” released on September 16, 2022.
In addition, BABYMONSTER is also expected to embark on a busy schedule. With the release of the pre-release single on July 1, the second single in September, and the mini-album on October 1, the group is expected to continue its upward trajectory. The pre-release single is titled “HOT SAUCE,” the first new song in approximately eight months since the release of its debut album “DRIP,” on November 1, 2024.
“Hot sauce” is a hip-hop track from the mid- to late 1980s. Highly addictive, it’s being offered as a gift, hoping you’ll enjoy it this summer. “I tried it thinking about what it would be like to sing early hip-hop from 40 years ago, and I got very satisfying results,” said Yang Hyun Suk.
TREASURE will also release a new mini-album on September 1st. Yang Hyun Suk stated, “We will do our best to support TREASURE so that they release more than two albums a year and meet with their fans regularly.” Following its comeback, TREASURE will embark on its new world tour in October.
Yang Hyun Suk surprised fans by revealing not only their vocalist schedule, but also the lineup of YG Entertainment’s trainees and their plans to announce rookies for the first time.
General manager Yang Hyun Suk said, “YG Entertainment is currently preparing two male and two female teams for their debut, and I really want to launch a boy group next year.” The new girl group is particularly hoped to launch as soon as possible, and the number of members has reportedly been confirmed at four.
YG Entertainment will release the four members’ training videos in succession starting May 28. Yang Hyun Suk stated that he would preview the new rookies’ training videos, just as BABYMONSTER did before its debut, adding, “I hope you will see and evaluate its skills as they are.“
However, as Yang Hyun Suk has stated that he intends to focus more on BABYMONSTER’s growth by the end of next year, the official debut of YG Entertainment‘s new girl group is expected to take place after that date.
YG Entertainment is expected to have a busier second half of 2025 than ever, with the announcement of the imminent release of BLACKPINK’s new track, a full-scale world tour beginning on July 5, the release of BABYMONSTER’s single in July and mini-album in October, as well as the release of TREASURE’s mini-album on September 1 and the schedule for the October world tour.
At the end of the interview, Yang Hyun Suk emphasized that YG Entertainment has significantly modified and expanded its internal system over the past year. “Our top priority is to accelerate the debut of new members and increase their intellectual property.
