Seven years ago, the group iKON released a song that was the anthem of the year: “Love scenario”.
Released in 2018, the track now has 700 million views on Youtube. This is the first time the group has managed to pass this milestone.
“Love Scenario”, the title track from the group’s second album “RETURN”, has won over not only iKONIC (fans of the group) but also the entire Korean nation. Many videos appeared on social media showing, for example, children singing during a school outing or turning it into a challenge on TikTok.
The title evokes an inevitable break-up, without resentment on the part of either party, describing their love as a scenario: the meeting, the love and the end. The kind of love story you look back on from time to time with a bittersweet feeling.
The clip is very pleasant to watch, with aesthetically pleasing shots and fluid travelling sequences. The imagery, using the Super 8 scanner usually used for film, is imaginative and original.
Today, JAY has just returned from two years in the army. He is actively promoting his album, released the year he left, and is currently sharing a vlog about his trip to Jeju Island. CHAN and BOBBY are still enlisted until the end of the year, except for SONG who will return in early 2026.
JUNE is also pursuing his film career on the small screen, most recently in ‘Conviction’, a thriller police series. As for DK, he’s been keeping a low profile but is enjoying a bit of travelling, as his Instagram stories occasionally show.
