Singer G-DRAGON has belatedly addressed the dating rumors involving SANA, a member of the girl group TWICE.
On June 2, his agency Galaxy Corporation stated:
“We would like to clarify certain misunderstandings regarding the recent dating rumors involving G-DRAGON.”
The agency explained: “G-DRAGON participated in the filming of the YouTube web variety show Dex and Sana’s Fridge Interview on April 14, the day after the final broadcast of MBC’s Good Day.”
They continued:
“Later, on April 22, he attended Coldplay’s concert in Goyang and shared a commemorative photo. TWICE happened to be special guests during the concert, and since the filming had taken place not long before, he tagged SANA’s personal social media account simply as a friendly gesture after the shoot.”
The agency added:
“His appearance on Fridge Interview was arranged through his friendship with Dex, and SANA had already confirmed her participation the day before filming. The reason we did not address the rumors earlier was because we thought it might spoil the surprise of his appearance on Fridge Interview.”
Previously, G-DRAGON had been caught up in speculation over a possible “lovesta” (a blend of “love” and “Instagram”) relationship with SANA.
When he posted a photo from the Coldplay concert, fans noticed that he had tagged only SANA’s personal account — not TWICE’s official one — and added the Japanese expression “에?” (which roughly translates to “Huh?” or “What?”), sparking curiosity about their relationship. As the rumors spread among online users, G-DRAGON quickly deleted the post.
