While EVELLI, the first member of YG Entertainment’s new girl group, continues to make waves, the second trainee set to follow in her footsteps will be revealed on June 16.

On June 13, YG Entertainment shared a poster on its official blog announcing the unveiling of the second trainee. The identity of YG NEXT MONSTER, the upcoming four-member girl group personally introduced by executive producer Yang Hyun Seok, is slowly taking shape.
As the successor to BLACKPINK—one of the biggest girl groups in the world—and BABYMONSTER, already seen as a next-gen sensation, this new project is attracting significant attention, even though the members are still trainees and have yet to officially debut.
The first revealed member, EVELLI, a 15-year-old from Australia, already left a strong impression with her well-rounded skills in singing, rapping, and dancing, as well as her fluency in Korean, English, and Spanish, establishing herself as a true “all-rounder.”
EVELLI’s rap evaluation video surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in just one week and currently sits at 17.37 million views. Her dance performance, released two days earlier, has already surpassed 3.4 million views, bringing the combined total of both videos to 20.77 million views.
These numbers clearly reflect the explosive global anticipation for YG NEXT MONSTER. Yang Hyun Suk’s bold decision to let raw talent speak for itself without embellishment appears to be paying off once again.
With EVELLI making such a powerful debut as the first member, curiosity and excitement around the second trainee continue to grow. Time will tell what unique qualities these future artists will bring to capture the global music scene and become the next icons in YG Entertainment’s legendary girl group legacy.
