NRG - KIM HWAN SUNG
It has been 25 years since the passing of the late KIM HWAN SUNG, a member of the group NRG.

KIM HWAN SUNG passed away on June 15, 2000, due to an acute viral respiratory illness of unknown origin, at the young age of 19.
At the time, he was hospitalized with sudden cold-like symptoms. Three days later, his condition worsened with a high fever and severe breathing difficulties, leading to his transfer to the intensive care unit. Sadly, he fell into a state of brain death and passed away shortly after.
His sudden death, at such a young age and in the midst of an active career, deeply shocked and saddened both fans and fellow group members.
In particular, NRG member NOH YOO MIN pays tribute to KIM HWAN SUNG every year on the anniversary of his death. Last year, NOH YOO MIN shared a commemorative message precisely at midnight KST on June 15, writing: “June 15 is the anniversary of the passing of our forever NRG member, the youngest and our friend, Antonio Kim Hwan-sung.”
KIM HWAN SUNG debuted in 1996 with the group Kkaebi Kkaebi, and re-debuted in 1997 with NRG, launching his career in full force. After his passing, NRG continued as a four-member group.
