C9 Entertainment, home to groups CIX and EPEX, is introducing a multinational new boy group after 5 years.

On June 18, C9 Entertainment launched the official social channels for “C9 ROOKIES” (working title) to announce the new group.
C9 ROOKIES is the first boy group from C9 Entertainment since EPEX, made up of multinational members. After a pre-debut period, all members will officially debut in 2026 as leads in a prime-time drama on Japan’s TBS network.
The profiles of the first two members, DOHYEOK and KIMKUN, were revealed on June 19 and 20 via the official SNS.

DOHYEOK catches attention with his pure manga hero visuals and youthful charm. He was accepted by two of the four major agencies, raising high expectations. His profile immediately grabbed global K-POP fans’ attention.
KIMKUN charms with fresh eyes and photogenic poses, bringing positive energy as the mood maker. He also trained at a major agency, and his classic “positive passion boy” look in a white shirt and jeans hints at a wide concept range.

Born in 2008 (Dohyeok) and 2007 (Kimkun), they will be the youngest members of C9 ROOKIES. Fans are eager to see them continue the “visual maknae” legacy from CIX and EPEX.
More member profiles will be released gradually through June 25 on official channels.
Meanwhile, C9 Entertainment recorded operating profits in 2023 and 2024 and surpassed 20 billion KRW in revenue for the first time in 2024, securing its role as a leader in the new wave of K-POP.
With 20 successful years, artists like YOUNHA, versatile LEE SEOK HOON, and globally loved groups CIX and EPEX keep the label thriving across many fields.
