“The Kings of the Korean Wave,” KIM JUNSU and KIM JAEJOONG, selected as headliners for the ATA Festival
According to the lineup announced on July 2 for the 2025 Asia Top Artist Festival (ATA Festival), KIM JUNSU and KIM JAEJOONG have been chosen as headliners for September 27 and 28, respectively.
As the ATA Festival generates huge excitement among fans with its prestigious artist lineup, KIM JUNSU (XIA) and KIM JAEJOONG, icons of the second generation of idols, are at the center of attention. These two artists, rightfully called “Kings of K-pop,” are drawing all eyes on the ATA Festival stage.
KIM JUNSU, headliner for Day 1, is very active across multiple fields including singing, musicals, TV, and video content production. He currently stars as Genie in the musical “Aladdin”. After establishing his idol career, he has built a solid reputation as a musical actor and founded the specialized agency Palm Tree Island. At the end of June, eight actors from this agency, including KIM JUNSU, performed in the highly praised “2025 Palm Tree Island Third Gala Concert”.
Meanwhile, KIM JUNSU continues his music career with releases like the digital single “OUR SEASON (스물한 번째 계절이 널 기다릴 테니까)” and the soundtrack for the drama “Moon in the day”. In August, he will hold a fan concert in Japan, showcasing his ongoing influence in both musicals and K-pop, domestically and internationally.
KIM JAEJOONG, headliner for Day 2, explores a variety of music genres as a solo artist. Last May, he released his new EP album “BEAUTY IN CHAOS”, featuring the powerful title track “Rockstar” and four other captivating songs, highlighting his charm as a “rocker.”
With a strong international fan base, KIM JAEJOONG is conducting an Asia tour, meeting fans around the world. Recognized for his influence, he was officially invited to the ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic normalization between Korea and Japan, held on June 19 in Tokyo.
As an artist who has left a mark on K-pop history, he is also dedicated to nurturing the next generation. He founded INKODE Entertainment and produced the girl group SAYMYNAME. He will also appear as a mentor on Mnet’s new audition show Boys 2 Planet, premiering July 17. Additionally, KIM JAEJOONG connects with diverse audiences through KBS2’s variety show “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant“ and the web series “JaeFriends”.
On the festival’s first day, September 27, artists Kyungseo, Park Hyewon, Saymyname, 10cm, Limujin, Jannabi, Peppertones, Highkick, and Hwang Garam will perform. The following day, September 28, the lineup includes The Boyz, Badvillain, Unvs, Qwer, Cravity, Tws, 82Major, Fifty Fifty, and Ha Sungwoon.
The ATA Festival will be held over two days, September 27–28, at Hangang Nanji Park in Seoul’s Mapo district. With its diverse lineup, it is designed to appeal to audiences of all ages. Beyond K-pop concerts, visitors can experience various aspects of Korean culture, including K-food, K-beauty, K-fashion, and more.
