KIM SOO HYUN
KIM SOO HYUN sold one of the three apartments he owned in Galleria Foret. Though some speculated it was a quick move to raise cash, it’s now confirmed the sale had been planned since last year.
On July 3, KIM SOO HYUN sold an apartment at Galleria Foret (exclusive area: 170.98 m², total area: 232.59 m²) for 8 billion KRW (approximately 5 million Euros). He had purchased it in 2014 for 3.02 billion KRW.
According to reports, KIM SOO HYUN signed the sale contract on June 27. This timing coincided with a major damages lawsuit from an advertiser, which led some to believe he was selling the property to raise emergency funds.
However, according to a Dispatch investigation, the sale was not made out of urgency. KIM SOO HYUN had been planning the sale since last year, and the buyer had already been selected. The signing of the contract simply took place recently.
He still owns two apartments at Galleria Foret, each around 90 pyeong (approximately 297 m²), purchased in 2013 and 2024 respectively. The apartment that has been provisionally seized by medical device company Classys, who hired him as a model, is the one bought in 2013.
The amount requested for provisional seizure is 3 billion KRW. The Malaysian branch of home appliance company Cuckoo, Cuckoo International Berhad, has also requested a provisional seizure of 100 million KRW on this same apartment.
At the time, KIM SOO HYUN’s legal representative stated:
“The damages claims made by some advertisers are based on false allegations from the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute and have no legal or contractual basis.”
The YouTube channel “Garosero Research Institute” had claimed in March that KIM SOO HYUN had dated Kim Saeron when she was still underage. These allegations reportedly came from Kim Saeron’s family. KIM SOO HYUN denied the claims, stating that they started dating only after both were of legal age.
KIM SOO HYUN filed seven complaints with the Gangnam Police Station. On March 20, he filed a complaint for violation of the special law on the punishment of sexual crimes (involving coercion through recordings). On March 24, he filed for threats, on March 31 for defamation, and on April 1 for harassment.
Legal action was also taken against members of the late Kim Saeron’s family as well as a woman claiming to be her aunt.
The investigation remains stalled. Not even a summons has been issued to the accused. Recently, the Gangnam Police Station changed the investigation team handling the KIM SOO HYUN case. It was confirmed that this change was not requested by KIM SOO HYUN’s side.
