It is on this Wednesday, July 9th, that the group NOWZ, formerly known as NOWADAYS, makes its comeback with a first mini-album titled “IGNITION”, carried by the song “Everglow”.
The male group of CUBE ENTERTAINMENT is composed of the members HYEONBIN, YOON, YEONWOO, JINHYUK, and SIYUN, and made its debut fifteen months ago. This name change allows the group to extend its possibilities towards infinity by taking a new start. The keyword of this comeback is “now”, highlighting the opportunities available to the group to pursue its dreams in the future. For this step forward, the main producer chosen is EL CAPITXN, who has notably worked in the past with IU and TRIPLES. Furthermore, the song “Fly to the youth (자유롭게 날아 )” symbolizes a flight towards freedom, featuring with member YUQI of the group I-DLE, and offers a style combining hip-hop and alternative.
The showcase presenting this new album is held in Seoul, and begins with the broadcast of a teaser to present each of the five members, before they take the stage to greet the press. The expectation for this comeback is great, since NOWZ is the first male group of CUBE in eight years. Thus, just after the photo session, two clips are broadcast; the one of the title song, and the one featuring YUQI. Then, the group takes place in seats to discuss the preparation of this album, their past, and their future with the journalists.

The members start by coming back to their name change, making it possible to highlight “the present moment”, all the more so since their fans were already in the habit of calling them that. Thus, the other titles are “Problem child”, “Louder” and “Day_And”.
Returning to the preparation and recordings made, SIYUN confides that some songs have lyrics in English, it was not always easy to obtain the correct pronunciation. In addition, the group obtained first place in the Chinese charts, YOON taking the opportunity to address some lyrics in Chinese to thank the fans for this victory. The MC takes the opportunity to congratulate them again.
The group having been surrounded by other more experienced artists in the agency, I-DLE and PENTAGON, it is grateful for the support and help received to improve. YEONWOO then shows the key steps of the choreography of the chorus, where the members extend their arms to the sky in order to capture light and take it within them. However, the group draws attention to the other titles that will also have explosive and dynamic performances.

SIYUN also addresses the alternative and almost metal style of their song “Everglow” which he considers well suited to the image that the group wishes to convey. The title conveys a positive message, that of not giving up in the face of difficulties, because light continues to shine always in our lives. It is by hearing the rock sounds and the message that the group decided to select this title to make it the main song of the album.
Thus, “IGNITION” is a mini album that incorporates messages dear to the eyes of the members, and corresponding to the musical imprint they wish to adopt. Before offering a second and final performance, the group thanks fans and journalists, hoping to draw attention to their upcoming work. A video is finally broadcast, teaser of the comeback, plunging the members into a summer and almost magical universe, immersed in a world of carefree.
