The new group NOWZ (pronounced “Naouze”) from Cube Entertainment has found its place on Hong Seok-cheon’s show, “Treasure Chest”.
YOON, JINHYUK, and SIYUN, members of NOWZ, appeared in the July 15 episode on the YouTube channel 홍석천의 보석함 (Hong Seok-cheon’s Treasure Chest), captivating viewers with their lively charm and dazzling visuals.
That day, Hong Seok-cheon warmly welcomed the NOWZ members, saying, “Here are YOON, SIYUN, and JINHYUK, members of NOWZ, a sensational new boy group presenting trendy music that balances youthful freshness and intense masculinity.” The members then humorously revealed their respective strengths: “Top of the top in good looks,” “In charge of the face and body,” “Responsible for plump lips and sex appeal,” sparking laughter on set.
Hong Seok-cheon had already attracted attention by appearing himself in the music video for “Let’s get it”, NOWZ’s digital single released last November, and making a surprise appearance at their busking event in Hongdae to celebrate the release. At the time, he said, “This is the rookie group that’s obsessed me right now. We’re preparing a new season of Treasure Chest — you absolutely have to participate,” showing special fondness for them.
On this topic, host Kim Ddol-ddol teased, “Apparently, Seok Cheon sunbae really got attached to NOWZ. He didn’t just leave comments on social media — he even followed them to the music video shoot and the busking event!” To which YOON replied with a smile, “It was great, he was so cute,” creating a warm atmosphere on the show.
Next, the members showcased their visuals through the segment called “Gem Evaluation,” then presented Hong Seok-cheon with a bouquet of paper flowers they had made themselves. Closing the episode, YOON addressed their fanbase: “Dear DAY_AND (the fandom name), we came to Treasure Chest with our amazing visuals. We’re developing our sense of entertainment, so we hope even more of you will look forward to us!”
Additionally, NOWZ recently made their comeback with their very first mini-album “IGNITION”, and are currently active on various music shows and content platforms with the title track “Everglow” as well as “Problem child (문제아)“, another track from the album.
