A new unit is emerging from the group ASTRO, MJ and JINJIN have teamed up to form the duo ZOONIZINI.
At midnight KST on July 29, MJ and JINJIN announced the formation of their new unit via their agency Fantagio’s official social media channels, releasing a teaser. The unit is called ZOONIZINI, and their first mini-album is titled “DICE”, which will be released on August 13, 2025.
The teaser highlights the unit name ZOONIZINI, a combination of MJ’s (Kim Myung Jun) and JINJIN’s (Park Jin Woo) real names, along with the album title “DICE”, symbolizing a sense of unpredictability and a unique synergy between the two artists.
MJ is entering a new chapter in his career with ZOONIZINI. He previously released his solo album “HAPPY VIRUS“ in 2021 and has charmed listeners with his vocals through various OSTs and music projects.
JINJIN, on the other hand, has showcased his songwriting and producing skills through his personal project JIN LAB, and has also contributed to the production of several ASTRO albums, solidifying his reputation as both an artist and producer.
As ASTRO members, MJ and JINJIN have actively participated in the group’s activities, including the release of the special single “TWILIGHT”, written and composed by JINJIN, as well as their first solo concert in three years, “The 4th ASTROAD: Stargraphy.”
ZOONIZINI’s first mini-album, “DICE”, will be released on August 13 at 6 PM KST across all major digital music platforms.
