The group AB6IX is releasing its 10th EP album “UPSIDE DOWN“ today (25).
AB6IX’s 10th EP album “UPSIDE DOWN“ (Jeon Woong, Kim Donghyun, Park Woojin, Lee Daehwi) clearly expresses the group’s determination to break existing boundaries and turn the world upside down through its unique perspective and music.
The title track “Stupid” is a pop dance song with an upbeat rock sound, vividly portraying the inner cry born from unacknowledged wounds. Member LEE DAEHWI participated in writing and composing the track, while PARK WOOJIN contributed to the lyrics, further enhancing the quality of the work.
In addition, AB6IX’s new release features six tracks in total, including “Square up”, “Friday trouble”, “A million dreams”, “내 계획엔 네가 있어” (You’re in My Plans), as well as a CD-only track, “Beautiful”. The album explores a variety of genres ranging from hip-hop to rock, pop, and even a fan-dedicated song.
Marking its return as stronger and more mature “artists” following its 6th debut anniversary, the members of AB6IX sat down to answer a few questions about “UPSIDE DOWN“.

Q. How do you feel about this comeback?
JEON WOONG: Already our 10th EP… Time really flies. Since this is our 10th release, we want to show an even more evolved AB6IX!
KIM DONGHYUN: It’s been a while since we last came back, so I’m a little nervous, but I’m also excited to present amazing stages and songs to our fans!
PARK WOOJIN: It’s been a long time since our last comeback. I want to thank our fans for waiting, and in return, we’ll show them the very best of ourselves.
LEE DAEHWI: We’re finally back! We had originally planned to return sooner, but we decided to wait for better songs, which delayed the project a bit. I’m so grateful and thrilled to see our fans again after such a long time.
Q. Can you introduce the title track “STUPID”?
LEE DAEHWI: It’s a dance track with a live band sound, perfect for a refreshing summer night. The lyrics are easy to understand, so I hope everyone who listens to it finds comfort in it.
Q. What are the highlights of the “STUPID” performance?
PARK WOOJIN: It’s a performance that’s catchy and accessible. I think anyone can enjoy it easily and have fun with it. It’s also a chance to see new sides of us and discover each member’s charm.
Q. The song carries a message of comfort for wounded hearts. Do you have a personal way of overcoming pain?
KIM DONGHYUN: If I’m in the wrong, I admit my mistake and move on. And if I face injustice, I make sure to confront it and resolve it.
Q. The members took part in writing, composing, and producing. What did you focus on the most for this album?
JEON WOONG: Since “Stupid” is such a bright and refreshing track, we worked hard to make sure the choreography reflects that festive energy even more!
KIM DONGHYUN: I poured more affection than ever into every recording and in preparing for the performances.
PARK WOOJIN: As always, I gave my all for those who will listen to us. I also tried to express my emotions so the album would feel more touching.
LEE DAEHWI: The most important thing was, of course, the music. Everything starts there, and I believe it needs to be excellent for everything else to work. I’m confident because every track on this album has its own unique charm.
Q. Which song from “UPSIDE DOWN” is most special to you, and why?
JEON WOONG: The fifth track, “내 계획엔 네가 있어” (You’re in My Plans), which I wrote and composed. I felt a real sense of accomplishment after finishing it, thinking, “I really did a great job on this!” So it’s especially meaningful to me, and I hope it’s loved by many.
LEE DAEHWI: Of course, I love the title track, but my favorite is the sixth track, “Beautiful”, because I think it will remain in the memories of both the fans and us for a long time. I hope that years from now, this song reminds everyone of this moment.
Q. After various solo activities, you’re returning as a group after about 10 months. Was there any memorable moment during preparations?
KIM DONGHYUN: We tried a different filming method for the music video, which was both new and fun.
PARK WOOJIN: Nothing in particular, but I was so comfortable and used to working as a group that everything just flowed naturally.
Q. What image of AB6IX do you want to show with this album?
JEON WOONG: We’ve tried out many different concepts so far, but I’d still love for people to say, “AB6IX is freshness itself!”
Q. A word for your fans (ABNEW)?
JEON WOONG: ABNEW! We’re finally back. For those of you who waited so long, we’re returning with an album packed with six tracks! I hope “UPSIDE DOWN” makes your summer feel cooler. Thank you, we’re counting on you, and we love you.
KIM DONGHYUN: It took a while! Since it’s been so long since we stood on stage in front of our fans, we’ll do our best to show you our best selves. May this album be a huge success~~~
