“Ditto” by NEWJEANS surpasses 800 million streams on Spotify

NEWJEANS’ hit track “Ditto” has officially surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.
According to Spotify, as of August 22, “Ditto”, a track from NEWJEANS’ single album “OMG”, (members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein), had reached a total of 810,018,000 streams. It is the second song by the group to surpass 800 million streams, following the title track “OMG”.
Originally released as a pre-release track on December 19, 2022, Ditto is inspired by the Baltimore club dance genre, reimagined with NEWJEANS’ unique emotional tone. The song features dreamy humming, warm production, and the members’ gentle vocals. It marked a major milestone for the group, landing them on both the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and the UK Official Singles Top 100, just six months after their debut.
“Ditto” also made history on Korean charts, ranking #1 on Melon’s daily chart for 99 consecutive days and topping the weekly chart for 14 straight week, a historic achievement. The song ended 2023 at the top of Melon’s year-end overall chart. Over two years and eight months since its release, Ditto remains a staple on major South Korean music charts.
In May 2025, “Ditto” also won “Best K-pop Song in Japan” at the Music Awards Japan, further proving its enduring popularity both domestically and internationally.
