There will be no debut this year for ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
After some research, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, formed through the final selection on Mnet “BOYS 2 PLANET”, will make their debut early next year.
Previously, after the final episode of “PRODUCE 101” season 2 aired on June 16, 2017, WANNA ONE debuted less than two months later. Similarly, “PRODUCE X 101”, which concluded on July 19, 2019, quickly led to the debut of X1 on August 27. Season 1 of “BOYS PLANET” also ended on April 20, 2023, and by July 10, ZEROBASEONE had taken their first steps into the music industry.
Unlike these earlier groups, ALPHA DRIVE ONE will wait over three months before officially debuting early next year. They are expected to take over from ZEROBASEONE, whose contract ends in early January.
In addition, ALPHA DRIVE ONE will sign a 5-year contract, keeping the team together while allowing members to pursue other activities in parallel.
On September 25, during the finale, the eight final members of ALPHA DRIVE ONE were confirmed: LEE SANGWON, ZHOU ANXIN, HE XINLONG, KIM GEONWOO, ZHANG JIAHAO, LEE LEO, CHUNG SANGHYEON, and KIM JUNSEO. The group consists of four Koreans, three Chinese members, and one Australian.
The group name, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, means “the catharsis created by the momentum of K-pop.”
