SON TAE JIN
The singer SON TAE JIN graces the cover of the October issue of the general women’s magazine “JUBULIFE”, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
Since March, when he began his first national tour “THE SHOWCASE”, SON TAE JIN has been active across various projects: participating in SBS “The Trot Show in Japan”, holding a solo fanmeeting in August “You Are My Sonshine”, and upcoming appearances in entertainment programs “길치라도 괜찮아” and “열혈농구단: 라이징이글스” scheduled for October and November. Concurrently, he has been in demand in advertising, recently being selected as the official model for a brain health supplement developed by the research team at WeBiome.
The cover photoshoot in collaboration with WeBiome highlighted the many facets of SON TAE JIN, who brought positive energy and professionalism to the set, even during long hours of filming.
Regarding this experience, he shared:
“When I go on stage, I personally check every outfit and actively give my input. But for a photoshoot like this, I completely trust the teams. They are experts, and it’s fun to discover another side of me shaped by someone else’s hands.”
Among his activities this year, he singled out his fanmeeting as the most memorable moment:
“For a singer, the affection and attention of fans are the greatest source of energy. The fanmeeting is a unique experience, different from a concert. While a concert is like a carefully prepared performance executed without error, the fanmeeting is a precious time co-created with the fans themselves.”
A graduate of Seoul National University in lyrical singing and a polyglot (fluent in five languages), SON TAE JIN is often described as the “ideal son-in-law” in the music industry. During the interview, he also shared his thoughts on other projects, such as “Son Taejin’s Trot Radio” and the YouTube web show “진이 왜 저래”.
“When an opportunity comes, I prefer to go for it rather than hesitate. I initially doubted my ability to become a radio DJ or participate in a web show, but I decided quickly. Once I accept a challenge, I don’t look back: I work without excuses until the end.”
Finally, SON TAE JIN talked about his daily life and future projects, revealing a sincere and authentic image of himself.
