TAO, XU YIYANG
Singers TAO (32), former member of EXO, and XU YIYANG (28), former member of SM Rookies, were married in a lavish ceremony.
According to local media, the wedding took place on October 16 in Sanya, Hainan Province, China.
The ceremony was themed “Star of the Ocean,” featuring a galactic stage where the couple exchanged their vows. The event was streamed live online, and TAO said during the broadcast:
“All the effort of the past two days was worth it. The hardest moments were actually the happiest and most precious.”
For fans watching the live stream, TAO also organized a raffle event, which was locally praised as “an original wedding combining live broadcast and contest.”
The Cadillac wedding car parade also attracted attention. However, former Chinese members of EXO, LUHAN and LAY, could not attend: LUHAN was busy with his concert tour, and LAY was promoting his new album.
TAO and XU YIYANG were first linked in 2020, confirmed their relationship in 2024, and officially registered their marriage in December of the same year, legally becoming husband and wife.
TAO debuted in 2012 with EXO before leaving the group in 2015 and now pursues a career as an actor and singer in China. XU YIYANG, from SM Rookies, is also active in China as a singer and actress.
