Rookie group LNGSHOT, who made its debut on January 13, along with ESQUIRE magazine, have unveiled a photoshoot and an interview.
During the photoshoot conducted earlier this year ahead of their official debut, the four members of LNGSHOT, OHYUL, RYUL, WOOJIN, LOUIS, fully showcased their individual charms and styles, resulting in visuals that are both stylish and refined.
As the leader and eldest member of the group, OHYUL explained why he places such importance on mental strength, stating, “I think it’s important to have the strength to quietly follow your own path, no matter the situation,” adding, “By holding on and trying to overcome hardships instead of running away from them, you become mentally stronger.” RYUL, who shared that he began to truly love hip-hop and rap after watching Show Me the Money season 7, said, “When I’m inspired, the lyrics come easily. I want to write playful lyrics that immediately catch the ear. Even if I can compromise on other things, when it comes to lyrics, I don’t want to give in or make concessions,” showing his strong passion.
Asked about his mindset as their debut approached, WOOJIN replied, “(My heart is) burning. I don’t know if it’s passion or anger, but it feels like something is boiling inside me. I think it’s because I really want to show how good our music can be.” The group’s youngest member, LOUIS, also drew attention during the interview by comparing the members to basketball positions. “Hyung OHYUL would be a center. He’s a reassuring leader. Hyung RYUL is a versatile forward, hyung WOOJIN is the point guard, the commander on the court. And I’d probably be the shooting guard, the one who scores the decisive basket at the crucial moment.”
