The group XG struck the hearts of fans in Korea and internationally with its first studio album “THE CORE – 核”.
XG (Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria, Maya, Cocona) successfully concluded promotions for their first studio album “THE CORE – 核” on Korean music shows, finishing on the 1st with SBS’s “Inkigayo”. In particular, XG specially performed the included track “Rock the boat” on the show’s stage, expressing its affection for fans.
Since its comeback, XG has performed consecutively on Mnet’s “Mcountdown”, KBS2’s “Music Bank”, MBC’s “Show Champion”, and SBS’s “Inkigayo”, delivering high-quality live performances of the lead track from its first studio album “Hypnotize”. With stable vocals, precise choreography, and the catchy part of “Hypnotize”, XG captivated both the eyes and ears of fans, leaving a strong impression.
The enthusiasm of Korean fans for XG’s musical activities was also intense. In particular, during “MCountdown”, the cheers of numerous ALPHAZ (the official fandom name of XG) supporting the group were captured on camera, showing this explosive fervor. After the stage, XG also expressed its gratitude, saying
“It was great because we could hear the voices of the ALPHAZ a lot”.
Beyond music shows, XG also demonstrated its presence on national and international music charts. “Hypnotize” entered the Melon HOT100 and the Bugs real-time chart, and reached first place on YouTube trending worldwide, clearly asserting its strong presence. Moreover, on Spotify, “Hypnotize” was included in the “New Music Friday” playlists of 43 countries and regions, including the global playlist, setting the group’s best record.
In addition, XG’s first studio album ranked 8th on the United States iTunes Top Albums, 9th on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart, and entered the Apple Music Albums Top 200 in 68 countries and regions. This was complemented by 5th place on Billboard Japan Hot Albums and 1st place on Billboard Japan Download Albums, once again proving their popularity.
After dominating both music shows and charts, XG is preparing to fully launch its second world tour, “XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE”, starting with the concert in Yokohama, Japan on the 6th.
