ONEUS is making a fresh start under B.WAVE ENTERTAINMENT (hereafter B.WAVE).
On February 5, the new label B.WAVE announced:
“After in-depth discussions with the members of ONEUS, Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, Xion, we have signed an exclusive contract. We hope for much support and interest in this partnership between ONEUS and B.WAVE.”
The agency added: “Currently, activities and schedules related to ONEUS’ single “WON” will continue under RBW until the 20th, before being transferred to B.WAVE.”
According to the members’ wishes, B.WAVE has acquired from their former agency RBW all intellectual property rights related to ONEUS. B.WAVE plans to fully support the group in all areas, music, broadcasting, and concerts, so that no constraints or limitations impede their activities under the name ONEUS.
B.WAVE CEO Gu Boneyoung previously worked at FNC ENTERTAINMENT and RBW. During his career, he was nicknamed “the father of artists” and oversaw numerous K-pop artists, contributing notably to the debut and various activities of ONEUS.
Thus, CEO Gu Boneyoung and ONEUS, connected by this particular history, reunite at B.WAVE to collaborate once again. The CEO will support not only the group’s collective activities but also the development of each member’s individual potential, guiding their future path.
ONEUS officially debuted in January 2019 with its first mini-album “LIGHT US”. Each album presented a solid conceptual universe, and the group achieved great success with key tracks such as “Valkyrie”, “Lit”, “Twilight”, and “A song written easily”, establishing themselves as “representatives of 4th-generation performers.”
Moreover, ONEUS made a unique impression through Mnet’s “ROAD TO KINGDOM” in 2020, won its first number 1 on a music show with “Luna”, a song reflecting Korean color, and subsequently held global tours across America, Asia, and Europe, consolidating its worldwide expansion.
Furthermore, B.WAVE, which signed the exclusive contract with ONEUS, was officially launched in June of last year and counts among its artists Tony An of H.O.T and producer R.TEE.
