SEE YA
The group SEE YA is returning in full to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its debut.
The project entity SEE YA announced on March 16 that the group SEE YA (Nam Gyu Ri, Kim Yeon Ji, Lee Bo Ram) will make its return to the music industry on March 30 with the release of a new song, “그럼에도 우린“, marking its first reunion in 15 years.
The new title “그럼에도 우린“ was supervised by producer Park Keun Tae, who accompanied the group’s golden age by creating numerous hits, in order to maximize SEE YA‘s unique sensitivity. In addition, the three members NAM GYU RI, KIM YEON JI, and LEE BO RAM added a special meaning by participating directly in writing the lyrics.
Through these lyrics, the members sincerely expressed the nostalgia and regrets they could not convey to the fans over the last 15 years, as well as this miraculous moment of their reunion.
According to those in charge, the recording session was a true ocean of tears. The three members, gathered in front of the microphone for the first time in 15 years, could not contain their emotions every time they reached the chorus, bursting into sobs to the point of interrupting the recording several times.
Producer Park Keun Tae, witness to the scene, expressed his confidence:
« All the time spent and all the sincerity of SEE YA are condensed into this single song. It will prove a value far beyond a simple reformation track. »
The members of SEE YA also shared their emotion:
« We poured into this song all the stories we kept deep in our hearts for 20 years. Throughout the recording, memories of the past flashed by like a kaleidoscope and we could no longer stop our tears. We sincerely hope that our sincerity will touch the fans who have waited for us for so long. »
SEE YA plans to release a new studio album in May, starting with the release of “그럼에도 우린“. This new album will see the participation of producers who marked the group’s peak, such as Park Keun Tae and Kim Do Hoon.
On the other hand, SEE YA will release “그럼에도 우린“ on all music sites on March 30 at 18h KST. The same day, the group will meet its fans directly during a fan-meeting organized at “IDLES”, in the Jongno-gu district in Seoul.
