KWON SOHYUN
Actress KWON SOHYUN shared her impressions before taking the stage for the first time in a play.

KWON SOHYUN will appear and meet the audience in the play “JEONG HEE”, which runs until June 14 at the YES24 ART ONE Hall 3 in Daehak-ro. It is notably a new challenge she is taking on through a theatrical work for the first time since her debut.
Before taking the stage, KWON SOHYUN stated through her agency CUBE ENTERTAINMENT:
“I am nervous about acting in my first play, but I am also excited to be on stage after a long time. As a spin-off work, I tried to maintain the existing elements while trying to discover the side unique to JEONG HEE, and since I play two roles, I prepared the process to give clear changes.”
She added: ““JEONG HEE” is a work where one can feel human warmth by saying to oneself ‘I wish I had someone like JEONG HEE by my side’ or ‘I wish there was someone by JEONG HEE‘s side.’ It is a play that realizes the strength of living by oneself as an individual, and it would be good if you could watch it with a heart that supports this process of change.”
“JEONG HEE” is a spin-off of the tvN drama “My sister”, which aired successfully in 2018, and is a work reinterpreted from the perspective of JEONG HEE, who runs the old JEONG HEE bar in Hu-gye-dong, Seoul. Starting with the familiar space of “JEONG HEE NE”, the story follows how a trivial crack moves a person’s time.
In the play, KWON SOHYUN plays the roles of Ji An and young Jeong Hee, leading the story as a central axis intersecting the narrative of “JEONG HEE” and delicately depicting the changing emotional lines.
In addition to “JEONG HEE”, KWON SOHYUN played the lead role of (Joohee) in the film “새벽의 Tango”, which is released on the 22nd of this month. Along with the news of her casting in the drama “Sympathetic cells”, she is active regardless of genre, including theater, film, and drama, and is consolidating her position as an actress.
