TEN leaves SM ENTERTAINMENT.
The agency SM ENTERTAINMENT announced the news of the end of the exclusive contract of TEN of WAYV via an official press release on April 6.
First of all, SM ENTERTAINMENT stated: “We express our sincere thanks to the fans who send much interest and love to WAYV”, adding: “We inform you that after in-depth discussions with TEN on the direction of his future activities, his exclusive contract will end on the date of April 8”.
Regarding TEN‘s future group activities, SM ENTERTAINMENT explained: “We plan to make adjustments so that TEN can participate in the activities of the groups WAYV and NCT in the future”.
Furthermore, SM ENTERTAINMENT conveyed: “We express our gratitude toward TEN, who has shown exceptional abilities not only in his group activities but also as a solo artist since his debut, and we will sincerely support his new start”, adding: “We plan to continue to support without reservation the activities of the members of WAYV, and we will do our best for the fans who encourage WAYV”.
TEN also published a message via his social networking service (SNS): “Leaving Thailand at a young age to come to Korea, there were many strange and scary moments, but all the SM staff sincerely took care of me and were always on my side”, adding: “It is because there were the fans who stayed by my side at every moment that the me of today exists”. He continued: “After careful consideration, the desire to try new challenges in a new environment was born”, adding: “Thanks to the members who always encouraged me so that I could dream bigger. I will come back without changing, with a better image”.
TEN debuted in 2016 with NCT U. Since then, he has deployed a wide musical spectrum by navigating between WAYV, SUPERM, and his solo activities.
