The group &TEAM will be the headliner for the major charity concert “GLOBAL CITIZEN LIVE”.
GLOBAL CITIZEN announced on its official website on the 7th that “GLOBAL CITIZEN LIVE” will be held on June 18 at the TOKYO INTERNATIONAL FORUM. &TEAM will participate as a headliner. In addition to them, the Japanese-American artist AI and YUKI CHIBA will also participate, and actor CHRIS PEPPLER will serve as the main MC. All ticket proceeds will be donated to the FIFA GLOBAL CITIZEN education fund.
GLOBAL CITIZEN is an international citizen movement organization founded in 2008 whose goal is to eradicate extreme poverty, and with which world-renowned artists such as BEYONCÉ, COLDPLAY, RIHANNA, ED SHEERAN, MARIAH CAREY, BILLIE EILISH, or RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS have collaborated in the past. BTS had performed “Permission to dance” and “Butter” with the national treasure SUNGNYEMUN in the background during “GLOBAL CITIZEN LIVE” in 2021, and JUNGKOOK had sparked an enthusiastic reaction as a headliner for the “GLOBAL CITIZEN FESTIVAL” in 2023.
&TEAM is expected to strengthen its global presence as a headliner of this symbolic stage organized for the first time in Japan this year. Like the group’s name, which means that nine members with different personalities connect to the world as one team, this stage is in alignment with the direction taken by &TEAM.
