TAEYANG of BIGBANG is making his solo comeback.

THE BLACK LABEL unveiled on April 20 the cover image of TAEYANG‘s fourth full-length album, “QUINTESSENCE“, via its official social media, while announcing its release for May 18 at 6 p.m. KST.
It is his first comeback in about 3 years since his second EP “DOWN TO EARTH” released in April 2023, and the release of a full-length album about 9 years after “WHITE NIGHT” published in August 2017.
The unveiled cover attracts attention by showing the image of two angels forming the letter “Q”, the initial of the title of the new album “QUINTESSENCE“. The word “Quintessence” having as a dictionary definition “essence” or “pure substance”, a long message centered on this term had been previously published as teasing content to announce TAEYANG‘s return.
Furthermore, after conducting a fan-meeting tour in a total of 7 cities, including Seoul, for about 4 months from July to December of last year, TAEYANG met his global fans as a headliner of the “COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL”, the largest music festival in the United States, alongside the members of BIGBANG on the last 12th and 19th (local time).
