ONG SEONG WU, discharged from military service in October 2024, transforms into the impeccable hotel representative Kang Min Hwan in “Spellbound”. This work is his first long-form drama series as a lead actor in about 3 years.
The new TvN series “Spellbound”, whose first broadcast is scheduled for the second half of this year, is an occult romantic comedy full of twists and turns between a chaebol heiress who sees ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who is deathly afraid of them.
Based on the film “Spellbound” released in 2011 which had received much love, the actors Park Eun Bin and Yang Sejeong will respectively interpret the roles of the heiress Cheon Yeo-ri, who sees ghosts, and the passionate prosecutor Ma Gang-uk, to deploy a mysterious romantic synergy. Added to this is ONG SEONG WU, who traverses film sets as well as theater stages, joining the cast in the role of Kang Min Hwan, an original character specific to the series, which increases expectations.
Kang Min Hwan, interpreted by ONG SEONG WU in the fiction, is the representative of the CL RAYMOND HOTEL, a subsidiary of CL. As the heir to the CL hotel and resort group, he is a character who possesses everything: a sharp intelligence, a sexy appearance, brilliant eloquence, as well as a rational personality, manners, and innate abilities. While he looks like a cold businessman in appearance, he is an infinitely warm friend to Cheon Yeo-ri (Park Eun Bin).
The performance of the actor ONG SEONG WU, who will depict these contrasting facets of the character of Kang Min Hwan with immersion, also attracts attention. Having shown a wide spectrum of acting without distinction of genre, from fresh youth romance to intense action, the encounter between ONG SEONG WU and the character of Kang Min Hwan that he will create is highly anticipated.
