CIX : End of activities for the group

The group CIX is ending its activities.

CIX‘s agency, C9 ENTERTAINMENT, announced the group’s future plans on April 29 via the official fan cafe, stating: “CIX, which has stayed by the fans’ side through various activities for about 7 years since its debut on July 21, 2019, will now stop its team activities.”

The agency stated: “We have conducted serious and in-depth discussions for several months with the members regarding the continuation of the team’s activities, but everyone has come to agree that at present, the cessation of the team’s operation is inevitable.” It continued: “The members and our agency feel great regret over this decision, as we have put our whole heart into the CIX brand and have done our best in all works such as music, choreography, video, performances, and broadcasts,” announcing that “consequently, the exclusive contracts of members BX and SEUNGHUN will end as of April 30.”

Member YONGHEE will enlist on May 11. The agency conveyed: “YONGHEE requested to enlist voluntarily after the decision to stop the team’s activities was made, and he plans to fulfill his national defense duty as an active-duty soldier in the army after receiving basic military training at a training center on May 11,” adding that “YONGHEE‘s exclusive contract will end upon his enlistment, and no separate official event will be organized on the day of his entry.”

It also added: “For member HYUNSUK, our agency is supporting related tasks so that he can focus on the drama whose filming is currently underway, and his exclusive contract is therefore expected to end on May 31.”

Asking for affection and encouragement for the members, the agency stated: “We intend to pursue concrete efforts, such as continuing to communicate with the members, so that in the future, the CIX brand can return to you with the unique music specific to CIX.”

This is an announcement regarding the future activities of CIX.

CIX, which has stayed by the fans’ side through various activities for about 7 years since its debut on July 21, 2019, will now stop its team activities.

We have conducted serious and in-depth discussions for several months with the members regarding the continuation of the team’s activities, but everyone has come to agree that at present, the cessation of the team’s operation is inevitable.

Consequently, the exclusive contracts of members BX and SEUNGHUN will end as of April 30.

In addition, member YONGHEE requested to enlist voluntarily after the decision to stop the team’s activities was made, and he plans to fulfill his national defense duty as an active-duty soldier in the army after receiving basic military training at a training center on May 11.

YONGHEE‘s exclusive contract will end upon his enlistment, and no separate official event will be organized on the day of his entry. However, we are separately preparing a small occasion to be able to exchange greetings with YONGHEE before his enlistment, and details regarding this will be communicated later via an announcement on the fan cafe.

For member HYUNSUK, our agency is supporting related tasks so that he can focus on the drama whose filming is currently underway, and his exclusive contract is therefore expected to end on May 31.
