DANIELLE
A change of legal team, but then why these changes.

The team of legal representatives of ADOR, which is leading an action for damages of a colossal amount against DANIELLE, from NEWJEANS, and MIN HEE JIN, former representative of ADOR (current representative of OAKK RECORDS), has resigned en masse.
On April 29, according to the legal community, five lawyers belonging to the firm KIM & CHANG, who represented ADOR, filed a collective letter of resignation with the court on April 24. They were until now in charge of the lawsuit for damages in the amount of approximately 43 billion 90 million won filed against DANIELLE, the former representative MIN HEE JIN, and a member of DANIELLE‘s family.
This sudden resignation of the legal team is interpreted as a measure related to the direction of the ongoing proceedings or a change in strategy. It has been reported that ADOR is currently in the process of appointing new legal representatives.
Previously, on the 26th of last month, during the first pleading preparation date held under the direction of the 31st civil division of the SEOUL CENTRAL DISTRICT COURT, the two parties engaged in a fierce struggle regarding the speed of the trial. The representative of DANIELLE affirmed that “if the trial drags on while she is in her most brilliant period as an idol, damages are inevitable”, and argued that ADOR is attempting to intentionally prolong the case by including not only DANIELLE individually, but also her family and the former representative MIN HEE JIN in the scope of the defendants.
On the other hand, ADOR replied that “this case is only a lawsuit for damages and contract termination penalties” and that “DANIELLE‘s entertainment activities are not governed by this trial”. At the time, the court had not accepted ADOR‘s request for a date postponement and had advocated for a rapid conduct of the trial while leaving open the possibility of mediation.
ADOR filed this colossal lawsuit last December, estimating that DANIELLE and the camp of former representative MIN HEE JIN bear major responsibility for the departure of the members of NEWJEANS and the delay of their return. ADOR, a label under the umbrella of HYBE, maintains its position of clarifying responsibilities through the said lawsuit, but attention is focused on whether the total replacement of the key team of legal representatives will act as a variable in the trial.
Furthermore, the court has designated the next hearing date for May 14 at 3:10 p.m. KST. While attention is focused on the direction of the trial, it has been reported that among the members of NEWJEANS, HAERIN, HYEIN, and HANNI recently returned to ADOR and are preparing for the resumption of their activities.
