The group BIGBANG is recruiting members for the 6th generation of its official fan club V.I.P (fandom name) for the first time in 11 years.
On May 18, YG ENTERTAINMENT officialized this recruitment by unveiling the poster “BIGBANG OFFICIAL 6th V.I.P NOW OPEN” on the group’s social media. This initiative comes roughly 11 years after the formation of the 5th generation back in 2015.
Memberships for this fan club will be processed through BIGBANG‘s official community on the global fandom platform BSTAGE.
Furthermore, the poster unveiled on this day captivates the eye by showing a concert hall filled with spectators. The yellow wave of light from the “Bangbong” (BIGBANG’s official lightstick) illuminating the stands seems to announce the prelude to BIGBANG‘s 20th anniversary projects, to be built alongside V.I.Ps from all over the world, which heightens expectations.
The agency YG Entertainment stated: “On the occasion of this meaningful year marking the 20th anniversary of BIGBANG’s debut, we have launched the recruitment for the official fan club in order to commune more closely with the fans who have shown us unchanging love for such a long time,” adding, “We hope that you will look forward to BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary projects, which the artist and the fans are going to draw together by becoming mutual reference points.”
Additionally, BIGBANG announced the return of these K-pop legends by taking the stage at the American festival “COACHELLA 2026” (Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival) last April, and will kick off a world tour this coming August.
