OH YOO JIN of TOTALSET begins her full-fledged activities as a “popular singer”.
OH YOO JIN will appear on the show “Music Bank” on KBS2 broadcast this afternoon (24th) to present for the first time on music television the stage of her new single “여우야 뭐하니”.
The new song “여우야 뭐하니”, released on July 21st, is a song that serves as a milestone indicating the musical direction that OH YOO JIN will develop in the future, going beyond the simple scope of a trot artist. Producer Ddolai Park, who gave birth to many hits such as “Alone” by SISTAR, participated in the production to maximize the level of perfection of the song.
This new song was designed on the basis of K-pop dance music combining popularity and performance. In particular, by reviving the slogan of the traditional Korean game “여우야 여우야 뭐하니” into a highly addictive hook, it aims for a “generational integration song” that all generations can enjoy together, from middle-aged and elderly people keeping the nostalgia of the past to today’s audience.
Through these activities, OH YOO JIN plans to present a highly completed idol-worthy performance and a refined vocal ability, going beyond the colors of an existing trot singer. She has the ambition to build her own unique musical world called “the OH YOO JIN genre” by simultaneously emanating a charm full of vitality suited to her full 17 years of age and a mature and captivating voice.
Furthermore, OH YOO JIN will meet viewers by appearing consecutively on “Show! Music Core” on MBC on the 25th and “Inkigayo” on SBS on July 26th.
