Today 20 September, at 3pm KST, APRIL presented their new mini-album to the press.
The five young women of group APRIL, from DSP Media, are back with a new mini-album, “Eternity” and a title track, “손 을 잡아 줘“.
After having attracted attention for a few weeks – thanks to photo teasers in which the members appeared in the middle of a very minimalist decor and in very pure dress – it’s time for the young women to talk about their mini-album and their songs.
In this new opus, they tell us about love, about this feeling that affects girls and boys. This uncontrollable thing that quickly makes your heart beat faster.
The different songs illustrate this love:
1. 손을 잡아줘 : Takes us along the various meanings of the word. A song with lyrics to support people who suffer because of love. Because it can also hurt.
2. 띵 : A song about love and feelings, about that little noise that resonates when you fall in love.
3. Magic in Love : Illustrate the words of someone who prays, who seems to be in a dream, when someone falls in love.
4. Hey Yo Hey : In the beginning there is friendship and in an instant love can be born between two friends.
5. 찌릿찌릿 : Depicts the noise made by the hearts of the girls who have fallen in love and who express their feelings.
6. 사랑해도 될까요 : Is the feeling of a girl who confesses timidly to the person she loves.
Following this explanation that already won the audience, APRIL present themselves alongside the producer of their main song, which is none other than Choi Hyun Jun of group V.O.S.
Speaking of this new mini-album, Choi Hyun Jun states:
“They always made young girls
songs but, by seeing them often at the agency, I noticed that they had grown up. They are young women now.“
With this new mini-album, the young women of APRIL show a more mature look and want to assert an evolution in their music, even if love has no age.
Then, APRIL, and Choi Hyun Jun, answer a few questions from the journalists.
Choi Hyun Jun insist on the fact that:
“This new song is more “woman”. Not sexy or too woman-woman, because they are still young, but just more feminine and more dynamic.“
When journalists ask them what they think of the song, the leader is the one to answer:
“대박 (amazing), the word sums up the fact that we love everything in this song: the rhythm, the choreography, the outfits… We think that this title can help us win some musical shows and that, thanks to it, we will be able to make ourselves known even more.”
And in one or two years, what kind of song will sing APRIL?
“I think we will have the style we have right now: the one who gives a smile and makes someone feel comforted.”
With this 4th mini-album, APRIL take a new step in maturity. The 5 young women grow up with their fans and express themselves through their songs.
