TEEN TOP will soon be back in Europe for a serie of concerts in April and they gladly answered to questions from KSTATION TV.
One month before their European tour, KSTATION TV asked the 5 members some questions to learn more about their state of mind, how the preparations for their comeback went and some other fun questions.
1_ TEEN TOP debuted in July 2010, so a lot of Korean pop fans already know you. For younger generations of fans who would like to discover you, can you introduce yourself like in July 2010?
캡 (CAP): We are TEEN TOP who debuted in 2010. We will sing and perform a stage that you can enjoy.
천지 (CHUNJI): We are a brilliant group of performances.
니엘 (NIEL): Hello, I’m NIEL, the emotional vocal performer.
리키 (RICKY): Hi, I’m TEEN TOP’s maknae RICKY.
창조 (CHANGJO): I believe TEEN TOP is a bright and colorful group. Our songs are good, but the performances are even more splendid.
2_ As a matter of fact, TEEN TOP are about to celebrate their 8 years of career and so the first decade is slowly approaching. Many groups, unfortunately, do not exceed the 7-year mark. What is TEEN TOP’s recipe for this longevity?
캡 (CAP): We understand each other, no matter the problem, and we move forward thinking of tomorrow.
천지 (CHUNJI): We are actually very friendly to each other in real life!
니엘 (NIEL): I believe it’s the teamwork between our members.
리키 (RICKY): Even though we fight each other, we reconcile soon. That’s our recipe.
창조 (CHANGJO): We met each other when we were young and practiced all together in the practice room, so we got close to each other. After lots of fights, we have gotten even closer.
3_ Your last comeback goes back to last year with the mini-album “HIGH FIVE” and the title “Love is“. Are you anxious about the new comeback? How did the preparations go?
캡 (CAP): Preparation is the most difficult and hardest thing we have ever had to do. However, we will try to show you a new look.
천지 (CHUNJI): It doesn’t make me anxious. I just want to be on the stage soon!
니엘 (NIEL): I’m looking forward to our comeback, and would like to meet our fans soon.
리키 (RICKY): We work hard for every album, but we cared the most and prepared harder for this one.
창조 (CHANGJO): I’m not anxious at all. Even though I get nervous, it’s a good form of nervousness, and I hope to communicate soon with our fans on stage. I would like to make many chances to meet each other. We are going to comeback with better performances, so look forward to it.
4_ CHUNJI, how was the shooting of “Yeonnam-dong 539”? Would you like to play in dramas again? What kind (police, school …)?
천지 (CHUNJI): Yes, I would like to keep playing in dramas, and I would like to try the sitcom genre again.
5_ Among the other members, are some interested in acting or shooting again? Maybe interested in other personal activities?
캡 (CAP): Since this year, I’ve been trying hard to play and share the music I like with you guys .
천지 (CHUNJI): I believe RICKY and CHANGJO are interested in acting.
니엘 (NIEL): We would do anything and do it passionately if we had the chance.
리키 (RICKY): I want to try every genre, and I’m making lots of effort to do so.
창조 (CHANGJO): Including me, CHUNJI and RICKY are interested in acting in our team. We enjoyed acting once or twice, and we believe it’s a chance to learn many things and live a different life through acting. I would like to challenge myself if I ever get the chance.
6_ Customs in Korea and Europe are different. As you know Europe well now, are there one or more that surprise you?
캡 (CAP): The relaxed mood was surprising.
천지 (CHUNJI): I was surprised to learn that European culture seemed more free than Korea, and I loved that!
니엘 (NIEL): I felt that the sky was different in color! I think each country has a different color in the sky.
창조 (CHANGJO): I can get an idea of the fans by being on stage. When we perform, Korean fans scream aloud, take a lot of photos and videos, and keep their eyes peeled. We are really grateful for that. The same goes for European fans, but I think the difference is that they enjoy more freely.
7_ We know that you work a lot and that you are very busy. If you could take a real vacation, what would you do? What would be your dream vacation?
캡 (CAP): I would like to go to the North Pole or South Pole and stay at a hotel made of ice.
천지 (CHUNJI): I would like to travel in foreign countries.
니엘 (NIEL): I would like to visit the Maldives.
리키 (RICKY): If I ever get a real vacation, I would like to go away with my car.
창조 (CHANGJO): I would like go play abroad.
8_ If the TEEN TOP of today were to meet the TEEN TOP of before 2010, what would they say to them? (NIEL talking to NIEL, CAP talking to CAP …)
캡 (CAP): I would like to tell myself to always have fun in life.
천지 (CHUNJI): Fighting! You are doing good!
니엘 (NIEL): Dude, do it harder!
리키 (RICKY): I would like you to care of your face more. It’s too much.
창조 (CHANGJO): CHANGJO, stop eating and lose some weight.
9_ During your promotion periods, you meet a many fans who ask you a lot of questions. Suppose you are a fan of your neighbor on the left, what question would you like to ask him? (Response from the interested maybe?)
캡 (CAP): Mr. NIEL – using “NIEL-ssi” in Korean – what do you want to do when you turn 37 years old?
니엘 (NIEL): Mr. CAP – using “CAP-ssi in Korean – do you like Pepsi?
리키 (RICKY): What’s the most confident stage for you during the tour?
10_ A last word for your European fans who are coming to see you on this tour?
캡 (CAP): I will show you more improved and fun performances.
천지 (CHUNJI): It’s been a long time since we’ve met each other, so I can’t wait to meet you soon.
니엘 (NIEL): I really miss our fans and look forward to meet them soon!
리키 (RICKY): It’s been a long time since our last European tour and I was so eager to meet our fans to show a wonderful scene. Thank you very much for coming to see us.
창조 (CHANGJO): First of all, I am sorry to have come to visit you after such a long time. We will make efforts and push forward to visit you more quickly. But since we are going to Europe for the first time in a while, we will also make preparations as a group to give you good memories and happy times. I promise!
