BANG YONG GUK unveils his first solo title since leaving TS Entertainment.
Today January 20th, 2019, artist BANG YON GUK unveils the MV of his title “Hikikomori“.
The title of this single is a Japanese word for a psychosocial and family pathology affecting mainly teenagers or young adults who live cut off from the world and others. Young people in social withdrawal feel overwhelmed by society. Neither bedridden nor autistic nor mentally retarded. They feel they can not achieve their life goals and react by isolating themselves from society.
The images of the MV fully illustrate how those young people who are isolated and falling out of the reality of society can feel. A sort of marginalization imposed on them by their choice to become a star.
This first single would it be an expression of what feels for a moment YONG GUK? Remember the different poses and absences of the artist during the last time in the group B.A.P.
Korean society, although it seems very open or ahead of its time, still doesn’t recognize certain diseases. Some even think that these are healed by the work.
The MV and the lyrics are in any case very meaningful and we let you appreciate the work of the B.A.P’s former rapper, mister BANG YONG GUK.
