JENNIE becomes the first female Korean artist to exceed 200 million views with the MV of “Solo“.
JENNIE “Solo”‘s first solo MV was seen more than 200 million times on YouTube around 6:50 pm. On February 10th, JENNIE rewrote the musical history by surpassing 200 million views as a Korean solo artist.
JENNIE is the first member of BLACKPINK to release a solo title, her title “Solo” was released on November 12th. The MV broke the record of all Korean female solo artists with more than 100 million views on December 6th, 23 days after its release. After this performance, she surpassed 200 million views as a Korean solo artist in 90 days.
Thanks to “Solo“, JENNIE beat pop stars like Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande to appear for the first time in the iTunes World Wide Song Chart as a Korean solo artist, demonstrating her presence on the world stage .
BLACKPINK will meet their American fans by appearing for the first time in ABC’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on February 11th, then on February 12th on CBS in “Good Morning America, GMA” and and on the 15th in “Strahan and Sara (GMA Day)“.
