BLACKPINK’s JENNIE became the first Korean solo artist to have a MV exceeding 300 million views with “SOLO“.
The video clip of JENNIE‘s first solo song, “SOLO“, which was posted about 6 months ago on the BLACKPINK YouTube channel, exceeded 300 million views this morning on May 14th. YG Entertainment has released a specially designed poster on its official blog to share the fun news with fans.
JENNIE, the first member of BLACKPINK’s solo project, released “SOLO” on November 12th. The MV in question exceeded 100 million views in just 23 days after its release, beating the record of Korean solo artist. Following this momentum, she became the first Korean solo artist to surpass 200 million views and 300 million successive views in 90 and 182 days, respectively.
In addition, BLACKPINK arouses the deep interest of fans around the world with its different records, even in choreography videos.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK recently completed its North American tour of seven performances in six cities. The group will continue its world tour in six European countries, including Manchester on June 18th, London on June 22nd, Berlin on June 24th, Paris on June 26th and Barcelona on June 28th.
