Group PRISTIN is officially disbanded.
PLEDIS Entertainment has just issued an official statement announcing the end of the PRISTIN members’ contracts and their disband.
PRISTIN debutedin March 2017 with the title “WE WOO“. Several members were noticed in Produce 101 season 1 and joined the final group I.O.I.
But what happened, the group met a great success with the fans, only the maknae KAILA had to be put in hiatus with the pressure of these.

Hello, We are Pledis Entertainment.
First of all, we would like to thank all the fans who love and care for our group, PRISTIN.
This is an official statement regarding the cancellation of the exclusive contract and the dissolution of the group.
After a long period of in-depth discussions and reflections with members, with the exception of KYUL KYUNG, YEHANA, SUNGYEON, the seven members NAYOUNG, ROA, YUHA, EUNWOO, RENA, XIYEON and KAILA, who have been together for two years , have decided to terminate their contracts with us on May 24, 2019 (expiry date of the contract).
We would like to say that we are sorry for all the fans who support us on the occasion of this sad news.
We decided to take a lot of time to make a wise choice. After discussing it, we decided to respect the wishes of PRISTIN members. We concluded that it was the dissolution of PRISTIN and the termination of the contracts with us.
Members KYULKYUNG, YEHANA and SUNGYEON have expressed their desire to continue working with us and we will actively support them for their personal activities. We will give them all our support to carry out more active and diverse activities.
We would also like to express our deep gratitude to the PRISTIN members who have left the agency. Although the official contract is over, we will support them sincerely.
As this is important, we sincerely apologize for the delay of this news which was an important decision, to be taken with caution. Finally, we hope fans will continue to support the seven PRISTIN members who are about to make a fresh start.

우선 그룹 프리스틴을 아껴주시고 사랑해주시는 팬분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
그룹 프리스틴 멤버 전속계약 해지 및 팀 해체 관련에 대해 공식 입장을 전달드립니다.
당사는 멤버들과의 오랜 시간 심도 있는 논의와 숙고를 거쳐 양측 합의 하, 지난 2년간 함께 해온 프리스틴의 멤버 ‘결경, 예하나, 성연’을 제외한 ‘나영, 로아, 유하, 은우, 레나, 시연, 카일라’ 7인은 2019년 5월 24일(계약만료 시점)을 끝으로 당사와의 전속 계약 해지를 결정하게 되었습니다.
이런 안타까운 소식을 전하게 되어 항상 응원해주시는 팬 여러분들께 먼저 죄송하다는 말씀드리고 싶습니다.
신중한 선택을 내려야 하는 부분이기에 충분한 시간을 두고 많이 생각하고, 논의 끝에 프리스틴 멤버들의 뜻을 존중하기로 하였고, 프리스틴 해체 및 당사와의 계약 종료라는 결론을 내게 되었습니다.
멤버 결경, 예하나, 성연은 당사와 계속 함께 하고 싶다는 의사를 밝혔으며, 앞으로 당사는 결경, 예하나, 성연의 안정적인 개인 활동을 위해 적극 지원할 것이며, 더욱 활발하고 다양한 활동을 펼칠 수 있도록 전폭적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠습니다.
또한 현 소속사를 떠나게 된 프리스틴 멤버들에게도 깊은 고마움을 전하며 공식적인 계약은 끝이 나지만 앞으로 이들이 걸어갈 길을 진심으로 응원하겠습니다.
중요한 사안인 만큼 신중한 선택을 내리기 위해 소식 전달이 늦어진 점, 그로 인해 팬분들께 심려를 끼쳐드린 점 진심으로 죄송하다는 말씀드리며, 마지막으로 팬분들께서도 새로운 시작을 앞두고 있는 프리스틴 멤버 7인과 결경, 예하나, 성연의 앞날을 모두 변함없이 응원해주시길 부탁드립니다.
