Today, August 8, at the Ilchi Art Hall in Seoul, Z-BOYS and Z-GIRLS present their second single, “Singing for You“, in front of the press.

The two groups come from the project “Z-POP DREAM“, a gigantic project that has been held throughout Asia and was led by Zenith Media Content. The idea was to bring together several personalities from different countries to create two groups, one male and one female, with the codes of Kpop groups.

The showcase begins directly with the phototime which reveals the faces of the girls and boys composing the 2 groups: PRIYANKA, QUEEN, BELL, JOANNE, CARLYN and VANYA represent the Z-GIRLS, while SID, GAI, ROY, JOSH, BLINK, PERRY and MALVIN are the Z-BOYS.

MAVIN says they are very excited to be able to perform here to unveil their second single, 5 months after the Z-POP DREAM project came to fruition.
CARLYN adds that indeed, they are all excited to be here and happy to be able to see their fans again, the “GalaxZ“.

The 2 groups introduce this second single a bit to us, before moving to the viewing of 2 MV (about thirty seconds).

For Z-BOYS, the title is called “Holla Holla“. It’s a powerful bass song, with a unique vocal charm that belongs to the group. JOSH explains that it is an invitation to find the way, because there is not only one, to realize one’s dreams.

For Z-GIRLS, CARLYN tells us that their title, “Streets of Gold“, pushes people to fulfill their wishes. She hopes that the group’s unique voices will make you want to listen to this song many times and that it will join your playlist.

In this new single, you will also find a collaboration between CARLYN, BELL and VANYA with the title “Fire Flame“. The three girls found an alchemy that made them want to do this collaboration.

Speaking about the filming of the MV, ROY remembers the fact that he was afraid of the height where the shooting was taking place and that it was scary for him. Although he was excited to do so, he was  all “freaked out“.

As for BELL, about the filming of the girls’ MV, it was all the moments of fitting clothes, make-up, hairstyle to prepare for the party, that remain engraved in her memory. As she says, “It was fun“.

The groups then recall their debuts, their meetings and of course the communication between them. Coming from different countries, communicating was difficult, but the passion for the same music pushed them to excel, and their agency set up language courses so that everyone could understand each other. The funniest moments for all the members were when they were using translating applications, or some funny (not existing) words  to speak.

In any case, what brings them together is this desire to sing, dance and be on stage. And compared to all the artists they have seen, they have the will and they will give themselves the means to make their dreams come true.

The time has now come for the two groupe to perform on their tracks “Holla Holla” and “Streets of Gold“: powerful or funny, the two songs attract the attention of the public.

Z-GIRLS and Z-BOYS have trained as much as the Kpop groups we know to reveal perfect choreographies and touching and sexy performances.

When asked about the artists they admire, BLINK, the maknae of the male group, responds without hesitation that it is BTS. And for JOANNE, on the girls’ side, it’s SNSD‘s Taeyeon, because it’s a complete artist with excellent vocal and stage performances. She says that CARLYN has also made a cover of the singer during a Korean show that charmed the animators.

In any case for both groups, this unification of different personalities, coming from various Asian countries, is a good thing. This shows that Asia is one: they represent the “Z” generation that hopes to be an inspiration for the younger generations.

Our reporter’s word: “It is very difficult for the group to perform in Korea because the members do not yet master the language well. I think it’s a very supportive group, they seem to have fun together.
