GOT7‘s fans celebrate the group’s sixth anniversary.

GOT7, which officially debuted on the 6th of January 2014 with the single “Girls Girls Girls”, had fans from across the world reuniting to celebrate the time they spent supporting the group.
Last weekend, fans across Europe gathered in various cities to celebrate the 27th birthday of the leader JB as well as the sixth anniversary of the group.
If England chose an island-like concept, that could remind one of JB‘s activities in the offshore collective, Italy chose to take the fan to fairyland with a concept that focused on the angelic feathers of the birds that the fans, the ahgase, are.
In Paris, the concept of the day was rather focused on the feeling of belonging. It was meant to bring joy and happiness, to everyone attending the event thanks to games and meeting new people.
The event took place in the 13th arrondissement, near stores that are especially dedicated to K-pop.

Organized by french fanbases, a cafe and one of the said KPOP stores, the fans were able to enjoy the moment and celebrate to the sound of their favorite songs.
During the event, after eating a waffle or an ice cream, drinking a milkshake or bubble tea, each fan could meet new people in the queue or at the table next to them.

They were parents and their children, women and men of all ages, gathered to celebrate their favourite band.
The coffee shop was packed, everyone was dancing and singing to their favorite songs of the group but also to their favorite solo tracks from each member and especially from the SoundCloud of JB, whose birthday was also celebrated as it occurred on the 6th of January.
Fun games and creative quizzes were organized during the entire afternoon, offering to each fan a chance of winning albums or exclusive merchandise from the collection JBxRepresent. The organizers also handed out fan arts, posters and photo cards to everyone.
Fans from all backgrounds had fun, chatting about their bias, their favorite song concerts. talking about their lives before and after discovering GOT7. They were sympathizing with fellow fans, some were unexpectedly meeting up with concerts’ mates, or social media mutuals, most exchanged social media handles to keep in touch.
The anniversary event, the first event of its kind organized by the french fanbases, that took place in Paris was thus a success for both fans and the fanbases: creating a link between people was what they were both looking for it by attending the event.
The friendly atmosphere confirms what is the purpose of groups like GOT7, creating a safe space between its fans and its members through music but also one between the fans themselves. That’s why many people are now paying more attention to what comes along with music.

A huge thank you to the fanbases and to the fans that attended the Paris’ event.
Happy birthday to GOT7 and their ahgase !
