D.COY debuts today with the single “Color magic“.
D.COY is a rock group from Rolling Culture One, composed of five members: SUNGWOO, main singer, JUNGMIN on keyboard, HYUKJIN on guitar, WONSHIN on bass and finally DOSUN on drums. They begin with the single “Color magic” from which the eponymous title comes as well as “Come to Light“.
It is after having gone on stage that the group briefly presents itself before lending itself to the game of the photographers present. Describing themselves as a “global” group wishing to win fans around the world, the members produce their songs with pop-rock sounds themselves. After the opening of their V Live channel, in one week they were able to collect more than a thousand fans. It is therefore time for the group to open up to the world.

The group begins by presenting the song “Come to Light” before delivering some information about them. It turns out that each member is associated with a precious stone, the ruby for JUNGMIN, the onyx for SUNGWOO, the amethyst for HYUKJIN, the sapphire for WONSHIN and the moonstone for DOSUN to be able to create a group identity. unique, which gave its name to their title song in reference to the colors of the jewels, which we find with their costume.
With marked shyness, SUNGWOO, who lived abroad until his 19 years, greeted his parents through the cameras, which did not fail to make their audience laugh.

For the filming of their clip, they surrounded themselves with the Zanybros company to bring out the aura of each of the boys. As for the two titles, they were mainly written by the leader JUNGMIN and thanks to the other members, the main singer, SUNGWOO is put forward so that his voice reaches the fans of the group at best.
It is therefore once their MV is revealed that the boys deliver on stage. Each one stands out in their own way, rock tones are diffused in the room. Once finished, they announce that they will participate in the concert of the company’s twenty-fifth anniversary on March 14th, which will delight their fans.
For DOSUN, there is no big difference between being part of a rock group categorized as idol-group or being part of a more typical rock group because its only desire is to play drums for his fans. SUNGWOO then reveals that it was he who chose the name of the group after making a list of words he found to his liking and chose from among them the letters that echoed him before assembling them to give D.COY .
“First of all, I had the idea of creating a group with HYUKJIN. Once SUNGWOO was able to graduate, we offered to join us with WONSHIN, after seeing some of its services. As for DOSUN, it was he who contacted us after viewing our videos on Youtube. We auditioned her and that is how D.COY was born. “- JUNGMIN

When asked who is their role model in the international music industry, WONSHIN named 5 seconds of summer. For the gemstones awarded, the boys were simply inspired by each other’s favorite color, says JUNGMIN. As for the most memorable moment during the shooting of their clip, DOSUN mentioned the presence of the goose which was a source of stress for the artistic director who could not manage to direct the animal as he wished.
