REFUND SISTERS: UHM JUNG HWA cries in empty concert hall

What makes UHM JUNG HWA cry in this empty concert hall? Why is JESSI scared in this same room?

First of all, we remind you that the REFUND SISTERS project is a female group project created by singer LEE HYORI during the show “Hang out with Yoo“. This project brings together four great female voices from the Korean scene. Singer LEE HYORI, HWASA of the group MAMAMOO, singer UHM JUNG HWA and singer and rapper JESSI.

The idea came in the mind of LEE HYORI who wanted to form a female group as exceptional as possible.

For the group REFUND SISTERS, the four artists are renamed as follows:

MAN OK 만옥 (Uhm Jung Hwa)
CHUN OK 천옥 (Lee Hyori)
EUN BI 은비 (Jessi)
SIL BI 실비 (Hwasa)

These four women have a particularity, if it is not already to be talented artists with exceptional voices, they are women who do not have their tongues in their pocket, they express themselves, they assume and are ready to to commit. We will remember LEE HYORI who dared to criticize and point the finger at the Korean government and who went into exile on Jeju Island for several years, HWASA who fully assumes her physique and who currently is harassed by more than unwanted messages or JESSI who, with his title “Nuna nana“, sends her detractors back to the bottom. These are just small examples among you.

So now we go back to what makes UHM JUNG HWA cry, scares JESSI and surprising LEE HYORI and HWASA, did you watch the video?

Currently, the life of an artist all over the world is not the easiest, because the concerts are canceled, the programs go without an audience, and so it is the same in South Korea. Artists have therefore become accustomed, in recent months, to perform their performances online and live, but without an audience in front of them.

During a special performance of the show “놀면 뭐하니? Hangout with Yoo” on MBC, the female quartet meet in a large concert hall for a performance behind closed doors. With the professionalism shown by the 4 artists, they begin their performance, to give them a little more balm in their hearts, lightsticks have been placed on each seat in front of and behind her. Everything is going well when suddenly at 1’25 minutes it is the surprise.

Only kpop fans who have been able to attend concerts in South Korea can experience this feeling and thrill. When suddenly, out of nowhere emerges the “FAN SONGS”, when the fans express their unconditional love to their artist by taking up the lyrics of the song with all their heart.

If first of all the four artists are surprised and don’t understand what is happening, very quickly the emotion will come to overwhelm them, forcing them to stop the choreography, a mixture of joy and fear. These voices coming out of nowhere resonating in this huge empty room, as if tens of thousands of fans were present, coming to support the 4 women.

A unique moment for the artists, where each one reacts in its own way, LEE HYORI who will invite her members to continue singing, JESSI, who frightened, will shout “EONNI !!!”, UHM JUNG HWA who will not be able to hold back her tears for most of the time the song and HWASA who will hold back until shedding a tear at the end of the song. A magical moment that the quartet will remember during this complex time.

In the headline “Don’t touch me“, the girls say they don’t care what people say or do against them, but be careful “Don’t touch them“. A title that goes very well with the titles “Maria” from HWASA and “Nuna nana” from JESSI.
