WAYV: A victory at the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2020

During the famous Mnet Asian Music Awards this year, many artists were drawn to receive one or more awards, and WAYV won the favorite Asian artist.

WAYV was present at the ceremony at the end of the year, along with all the members of NCT. Indeed, the latter had announced that the 23 members of the group, would offer a performance with all the members together, on the last single “RESONANCE“. (This single being a combination of various songs from NCT’s latest album, under the NCT 2020 project, “RESONANCE Pt.2”, and was released on December 4th.)

KUN being the leader of the group, took the floor after the award was given to the group and spoke about his feelings:

“Firstly, thank you very much to the Mnet Asian Music Awards for giving us such a great award. We must first thank LEE SOOMAN, as well as our family SMTOWN and LABEL V, and also all the team who always support us, who take care of us, and who helps us. At the same time, I would like to take this chance to thank our Wayzennis who are always around to love us and love our music. We always say that we want to show our best music and our best performances on stage, and share our Chinese songs with fans in Asia as well as all over the world. We cling to these lyrics, and we are still working very hard. We hope everyone is still waiting for a better WAYV.

Also, 2020 was a unique year, so we believe that the cold of this winter will pass and the flowers will bloom again in the spring. We hope not only that spring, but also that peace and your health come together after the pandemic. Thank you ! “

In addition to WAYV, NCT was also able to receive a few awards at the ceremony: the one called “Worldwide Fan’s Choice” and that of the favorite male group.

WAYV therefore performed on this occasion his song “Turn back time” and some of the members performed with NCT U in particular for the song “From home”, of which KUN the leader of WAYV is part. Finally, all the members of WAYV have been brought together within NCT 2020, in order to perform under the name of this project “RESONANCE”.

In addition, WAYV appears in one of the last videos posted on the group’s SNS. This video is a new MV from “From home” which traces the journey of all members, from the day they were dragged to today, showing the journey of WAYV and its members.
