ARON grew up in the United States and came to Korea alone when he was 18 to become a trainee. He didn’t speak a word of Korean, although his mom is Korean. NUEST members, and BAEKHO in particular, taught him Korean during his trainee years.
He had been accepted to New York University, a prestigious university with an admission rate of just 30%. But, he decided to follow his dreams and become a singer. He then became a trainee at Pledis Entertainment, which had accepted his profil following an audition held by the agency in the United States.
He wrote the rap himself in the song “Lend Me Your Shoulder”. This passage from the song expresses his difficult experience when he arrived in Korea.
The fandom calls him “maknae-hyung” because he is the oldest member of the group but he often acts like the youngest. He is very funny and is always ready to annoy the other members. LOVEs say he lives to annoy and prank them.
He was a radio presenter of the show “Music Access” for 3 years, which allowed him to connect with international fans. He also recognized the fans who often listened to the show and remembered many details about them.
He loves animals. He now has two dogs: Noah and Kkotsuni. Kkotsuni was abandoned and ARON decided to adopt him to give him a better life. He often posts videos and photos of his two dogs on Instagram.
