LOONA: “Citius, Altius, Fortius”
Girl group LOONA will make a comeback in the music industry on June 28th.
LOONA (Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Yeojin, ViVi, Kim Lip, Jinsol, Choerry, Eve, Chuu, Gowon, Olivia Hye) released an image teaser for their new mini album, on their official SNS at midnight on June 1st and announced the release of a new album.
The released image catches the eye, as the release date is unveiled with the album’s new name “&” on a chic black curtain. The Latin phrases “Citius, Altius, Fortius” (faster, higher, stronger) and “Acta est fabula, plaudite” (the story is over, applause) were implemented in the form of an arc, representing a triumphal arch, revealing strong aspirations for this return.
Group LOONA will release its new album eight months after its third mini album “MIDNIGHT” released in October of last year. Blockberry Creative, the group’s agency, said: “The new name of the mini album “&” foreshadows the birth of an album with a broader and more solid worldview, as it can be interpreted with various meanings such as only connect and be one.”
LOONA, which unveiled its members and carried out unit activities as part of a first original project in 2016, established itself as a “third generation key girl group” by creating representative songs such as “Hi high”, “Butterfly”, “So what”, and “Why not?” after making its debut as a full band in August 2018.
In addition, the group has proven its worldwide popularity by setting incredible records such as entering the Billboard Main Chart, Billboard 200, iTunes Albums Chart in 51 Nations, such as the United States, and entering on the North American radio charts for the first time for nine consecutive weeks.
LOONA will be releasing their new mini album “&” at 6pm on June 28th.
