APINK: A very happy birthday to YOON BOMI

YOON BOMI, lead singer, lead dancer and rapper of girl group APINK, born August 13rd, 1993, turns 28 today.

YOON BOMI was born in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on August 13rd, 1993. She has an older sister, Yoon Sunmi, and a younger brother, Yoon Jongjin. She started Taekwondo at the age of five and holds a 3rd degree black belt.

YOON BOMI, along with other members of the group, was officially introduced as a member by the group’s reality TV show, “APINK News” in 2011 ahead of their debut.

In 2012, YOON BOMI, along with APINK frontman PARK CHORONG, had a cameo role in the drama “Reply 1997“. She was also an MC on the variety show “Weekly Idol” from July 17th, 2013 to July 8th, 2015. She also joined the cast of the variety show “The Human Condition” in 2014 and appeared on the women’s special. MBC’s “Real Men” at the start of 2015.

In September 2015, she was cast in KBS’s 10-episode web drama: “Love detective sherlock K“. She then joined the fourth season of We Got Married with actor Choi Taejoon who served as her virtual husband in 2016. In 2017, she starred in the drama “Because this is my first life“. Finally in 2020, she starred in the web drama “Oppa will date instead“.

At the end of 2013, she appeared in K-Hunter’s “Marry me” music video and did a collaboration with MIB’s “Let’s talk about you.” In 2015, she did a collaboration for the first song by David Oh “I know, I know“, released May 11 and June 16, she released a duet with Im Seulong called “Is lovely” for the variety show “Some Guys, Some Girls“.
