JONGHO : The youngest member and the beautiful voice from ATEEZ

On October 12, we are celebrating the birthday of ATEEZ‘ main vocal, who is also the maknae of the group.

JONGHO is known to be a dancer and singer from ATEEZ. He enjoys listening to ballad tracks, he is left-handed and he is great at playing football. If he was not a singer, he would have probaly been an athlete.

Before being a member of ATEEZ, JONGHO participated in KQ Entertainment’s project called KQ Fellaz. The aim was to promote the agency’s eight trainees at the end of their trainee days when they had to take dancing classes in a famous dance school in Los Angeles in 2018. At this time, the trainees gained a strong level in dance and they became quickly popular which is quite unique for a rookie group. Thanks to the performance video under, the eight KQ Fellaz were discovered by many people who were surprised to see a young k-pop groupwith such dancing abilities. Despite JONGHO‘ kills as a singer, he proved that he was also a skilled dancer, making him a complete artist.

On October 24, 2018, ATEEZ‘s members released a first mini-album with the theme “TREASURE”. After promoting with a first title-song entitled “Pirate King” and a second one entitled “Say My name”, the group made several stages with a side-track “HALA HALA” which became quickly popular and in which JONGHO made people hear his clear and powerful singing voice thanks to many high notes.

In 2019, ATEEZ‘s members proved that they were talented young artists with a strong growing popularity since they sold-out their European and American tour in a few minutes. JONGHO and the other members from the group made many comebacks and they ended their “TREASURE”‘s albums with title-song “Answer” in January 2020. Comeback after comeback, the maknae improved and was able to reach more and more high notes on the group’ songs and on other artists’ covers.

During the short break between two comebacks in early 2020, the group was still able to communicate with the fans and shared many cocntents and shows with them. In July 2020, the gorup made a long-awaited comeback after a few months and the fans were more than ready to discover the new concept for the next serie of comebacks entitled “FEVER”. On July, 29, 2020, ATEEZ pormoted with title-song “Inception” which made the eight members win a new trophy on a music show. Their first win ever happened during their 2019 summer promotion’s with “WAVE” in June 2019.

JONGHO is a talented singer who can be stoic but also smile a lot. He may be the youngest member, but he is the strongest one. Indeed, we can see it in several reality and entertainment shows when he has to cary objects or his co-membres for example. He also has a special talent that is quite unique : he can split an appel in two parts with his bare hands while singing a high-pitched song. After a 2020 year full of activities, ATEEZ participated to show “Kingdom” with five other k-pop groups. After many mind-blowing performances, the group ended up at the 3rd place, behind Stray Kids and THE BOYZ. During this show, JONGHO one more time showed what he could do as an artist and how powerful his voice is.

Recently, ATEEZ made a comeback with title-song “Deja Vu”. This song’s MV already reached more than 20 millions views on YouTube, showing one more time ATEEZ‘s popularity in South Korea and in foreign countries.
