EPEX group won the “Rookie of the Year” award at the 2021 Hanteo Music Awards.
On the afternoon of February 16, EPEX Group was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” trophy at the 2021 Hanteo Music Awards via Hanteo News and YouTube Hoodan TV to express its gratitude to fans.
The 2021 Hanteo Music Awards “Rookie of the year” award is given to new artists (who debuted in 2021) who are expected to perform well in the future by combining various metrics such as album charts, sound source, social media, the world, the portal and the fandom, and selected two groups of new artists (male and female) representing 2021. The award was based on the total score obtained by adding the overall voting score made on the application Who’s fan to the overall score of K-pop artists compiled on the Hanteo Chart.
EPEX, which performed well in overall artist score composed of 35% album chart score, 10% music score, 5% social and portal score, 5% broadcast and media score, 5% star score and 5% overall score, was also ranked first in global voting held from December 27 to January 2.
EPEX debuted with their debut album “BIPOLAR Pt.1 BOOK OF ANXIETY” and quickly established themselves as a global super rookie group, followed by their second mini album “BIPOLAR Pt.2 BOOK OF LOVE“, beating his world No. 1 record among new male idols in 2021.
In the video for the acceptance speech, member KEUM DONG HYUN said, “We won Rookie of the Year at the 2021 Hanteo Music Awards.” The leader WISH added, “It’s a great honor to receive the once-in-a-lifetime Rookie of the Year award.“
The member MU expressed his feelings about the award, saying, “In particular, I feel all the more proud to think that we are the first winner of the rookie prize of the first Hanteo Music Awards.” Additionally, member A-MIN thanked Zenith (fandom name), saying, “Our Zenith, thank you so much for giving us a valuable prize.”
Member AYDEN then mentioned, “2021 has been a really special year for us.” In response, member BAEK SEUNG added, “We were able to come together to receive the Rookie of the Year Award,” and member YEWANG gave glory to the fans by saying, “We had a really good year. last year thanks to our Zenith.”
Member JEFF mentioned, “Our Zenith voted mightily to give us the Rookie of the Year award,” and WISH expressed their ambition, “We will work harder in the future to repay such love.”
